  1. Please consider to use DMC audio studio as your first option to record interviews as , since soundproofed room and the audio set-up offer superior recording quality. There are two stand microphones in the studio: one has on/off switch and the other does not. Use the one without the switch as the primary microphone, and use the one with the power switch as the secondary microphone if needed and be sure to power it on. Refer this guide Using Audacity to Record Audio to step-by-step instructions. 
  2. Alternatively, you may check out Zoom H4n audio recorder or Zoom H2n audio recorder from the DMC. Both recorders are very portable and offer excellent recording quality .Basic operation (refer to video tutorial of H4n and demo the basic recording function of H2n.)as well.

Video interview:

    1. Please consider to use DMC video studio to record video interview as your first option can be reserved to record interviews and a set of professional equipment is reserved for use in the video studio only. (get more hands-on experience of using the equipment.)

    2. Equipment:

      1. Easy setup: Canon M500, Sunpack/Velbon tripod, Azden wireless microphone

      2. Advanced setup for better audio quality: Canon XA10 video camera, Velbon tripod, Sony lavalier microphone, external shotgun microphone is used at same time as a backup audio (check the menu settings about channel setup, whether it records to one channel or two channel.)
