1. Using a web browser, search for "h-gac gis" and select the result as shown below or go directly to: http://www.h-gac.com/rds/gis-data/gis-datasets.aspx.
   
   
   
   
2. Under the Dataset Categories section, click the Hydrologic button to filter the results by subject.
   
   
3. Under the Datasets section, clickMajor Rivers.
   
   
4. Click Download Dataset in the pop-up window.
5. Click the blue Download button in the top right corner of the new window.

IPUMS NHGIS Datasets

The National Historical Geographic Information System (NHGIS) provides free online access to summary statistics and GIS boundary files for U.S. censuses and other nationwide surveys from 1790 through the present.

1. Using a web browser, search for "ipums nhgis" and select the result as shown below or go directly to: https://www.nhgis.org/
   
   
2. Click the Log In button at the top right of the page.

3. Use your IPUMS NHGIS credentials to log in to IPUMS NHGIS. 
4. Once logged in, click the IPUMS NHGIS logo in the top left of the screen to launch home page.
5. Click the Get Data button located in the center of the screen.
