Coin of this workaround:
When using eclipse restart function, the environment variable will not be set. So you have to avoid using restart function in eclipse.

You have to change the default JVM to Sun's Java but not the openjdk which is default JVM on Ubuntu 9.10. For my test, SVN connector does not work well under openjdk. |
