- Find the Command Prompt Window under "Start" and then "Programs" and finally "Accessories".
Run ipconfig/all from a Command Prompt window.
(click Start, then Run, then type cmd in the text box.)
- Type in ipconfig/all in the Command Prompt Windows, and press Enter.
The 12-digit Physical Address is the same as MAC address

Mac OSX
- Click on the Apple.
- Click on About this Mac.
- Click More Info.
- Click Network.
- In the top panel choose the appropriate device (AirPort if a wireless problem or Ethernet for a wired problem).
- In the bottom panel, scroll down to MAC Address.
- Copy the MAC address and paste the text into a reply to your ticket. If you do not already have a ticket open, please e-mail the copied text to the helpdesk@rice.edu.
