This is simply your initial to-do list
- Complete the Entrance survey
- Sign-up for a TWiki account. You'll need this account for a variety of things during the course. To obtain an account, please email cherif@rice.edu with the following information:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your email subject must be: "Twiki account request for comp211"
- Cherif will create a Twiki account with the name "FirstLast" for you and send you an email message containing the account name and initial password.
- Make sure that you have a Rice netid.
- If you have not yet chosen a lab section, pick your preferred lab times and send these choices by e-mail to dxnguyen@rice.edu.Pick lab time and signup using lab signup page Note: Needs TWiki account
- Subscribe to the class mailing list (https:mailmanriceedumailmanlistinfocomp211discussionl). \
You'll need to this to get important announcements about the course. We will rely on the course wiki for all communication unless there is a technical problem. In this case, the class mailing list will be a backup. - Download PLT Scheme 4.12.3 which includes DrScheme.
- Read Wikipedia article on Internet Etiquette.
- Pick home work partner using partner signup page
- Note: Needs TWiki account
- Make name tag for class. Please bring this to each class.
- Browse over class web-page. Things will change during the course, but the overall structure will be the sameBrowse over main page on the class wiki.
