Before exporting to CAD, make sure everything is in the same projection to ensure that it will display properly in CAD.
- Right clilck click a feature class in the content pane, then click the properties thenin . Then in the source tab, expand the spatial reference.
- Check that the projection coordinate system is NAD 1983 StatePlane Texas S Central FIPS 4204.
- Do steps 1-2 for every feature class included in your map.
Also, be sure you’ve clipped your file to your area of interest or the conversion to a CAD file will take a long time and you will end up with a large file.
You are now ready to export to CAD. - In the analysis tab, search in the tool for Export to CAD.
- Drag your desired layers into the ‘Input Features’ box, then specify the location and name of your ‘Output File’ (avoid using spaces) and click OK.
