Migration to Microsoft 365 Exchange

Rice University has begun the transition to cloud-based Microsoft Exchange email as part of the adoption of the Microsoft 365 suite of software. If you have an Exchange account and your email and calendar have migrated, please follow the instructions below to sign in to Outlook.

**Note**

To access email via Outlook Web App (OWA) , go to https://outlook.office.com and sign in using your Netid@rice.edu email address and netid password.
Forwarding email from Microsoft 365/Exchange Online to another email account will no longer be allowed or supported.
You can configure another account such as Google Mail to check your Rice email.
If you have previously setup your mobile devices to access email prior to the Microsoft 365 migration, you will need to remove the Email account and add a new email account. Instructions on how to add a new account can be found here.

After the migration, you will see a Microsoft sign in prompt when you open Outlook.
Click Sign in with another account.
Enter NetID@rice.edu and click Next.
Select Work or school account if prompted.
Enter your Netid Password and click Sign in.
