  1. Open up your ArcGIS Project File again from the Desktop, by double-clicking the Imagery folder.
  2. Double-click the Imagery.aprx ArcGIS Project File (blue icon) to open the project in ArcGIS Pro.



  3. Maximize the ArcGIS Pro application window.
  4. In the Catalog pane, expand the Folders folder.
  5. Expand the Imagery folder.
  6. Right-click the sanborn_rice_1925.jpg raster image and select Add to Current Map.

  7. Right-click the sanborn_rice_1951.jpg raster image and select Add to Current Map.
  8. Choose three control points per image to georeference and save the two maps.
  9. Once complete, in the Contents pane, toggle off the sanborn_rice_1925 layer
  10. In the ribbon, click the Share tab
  11. In the Export group, click the green export arrow and save as a JPEG.
  12. Toggle off the sanborn_rice_1925 layer and 1951 Sanborn maps toggle on the sanborn_rice_1951 layer.
  13. Repeat Step 11 for the sanborn_rice_1951 layer.

Hint: For the 1925 map, try a control point at Lovett Hall, Herzstein Hall, and the road intersection at Rice Blvd and Shepherd Drive. For the 1951 map, try control points at Lovett Hall, Herzstein Hall, and the new Football Stadium.
