Now you are ready to perform an attribute query to select all of the subwatersheds within the Buffalo-San Jacinto subbasin (HUC-8 = 12040104).

1. On the Map tab, click the Select by Attributes…Attributes button.

2. In the Geoprocessing pane, use ‘Layer Name or Table View’ 'Select By Attributes' window, use the ‘Input Rows’ drop-down menu to select Subwatershed the Subwatershed layer, if necessary.
3. Use the ‘Selection Type’ drop-down menu to select New selection.
4. Click Add Clause.

   New expression.
5. For the first two fields, selectSelect HUC-8, and is equal to, in the first two fields.
6. Type "12040104" in the last field.
   Verify that your ‘Select By Attributes’ pane appears as shown on the following page and click Add.

7. Click Run.
8. In the Table of Contents, right-click the Subwatershed layer and select Selection > Zoom To Selection.
