For old organization or departmental accounts, which are purposely not linked to an individual NetID, the owner of that account can change the account password in apply.rice.edu at any time.

  1. Go to Go to apply.rice.edu (for a larger view of the apply.rice.edu page, click the image above).
  2. From the Left-Hand Menu, select "Login" and enter YOUR NetID (account name) and password (usually your e-mail password). You will be taken back to the main page.
  3. Select "Change your account password" from the "Account Maintenance" in the Left-Hand Menunavigation menu.

  2. In the apply.rice.edu application, you will see ALL the accounts you own.

  1. At the top of the page, there is a section for Individual Accounts.  These are course, org, or departmental accounts that have their own UNIQUE password but are owned by you.

  2. To change the password for an Individual Account, select it from the list by clicking the button or circle that begins that row, then
  3. select "change single account password" to alter ONLY this accounts password and not your personal NetID password.
  4. type your new password into the appropriate spaces to change the password for this INDIVIDUAL account.
