SPSS29 Doesn't Run on Sonoma (macOS 14.0)

An interim fix from IBM is available.  More info can be found here.  Please follow the steps below to apply the fix.

1. Click here to access the fix.
2. Click Download.
   
   
   
   
3. Double-click on the downloaded file "29.0.1.1-IM-S29STATC-MAC-IF001.zip” 
   
   
   
   
4. Close all instance of SPSS29.
5. Open a Finder window and click on the Applications folder.
6. Navigate to the IBM SPSS Statistics directory.
   
   
   
   
7. Right-click SPSS Statistics and select Show Package Contents.
   
   
   
   
8. Open the Content folder then the Lib folder.
   
   
   
   
9. Drag and drop the libplatdep.dylib file you downloaded to the .../Content/Lib folder located in step 7 above.
   
                                
   
   
10. Chose "Replace".
    
    
    
    
11. Launch SPSS29.
