Cataloging Linguistic Data Consortium Corpora
1. LINGUISTIC LINGUISTIC DATA CONSORTIUM
The Linguistic Data Consortium corpora consist of CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, and online titles. The Linguistic Data Consortium notifies Fondren (the AUL for Collections ) when new corpora are released, and she requests they be sent and when necessary signs the licenses . Michael Barlow is our main consumer of these corpora.when necessary.
Cataloging receives the cd-roms discs from Acquisitions Receiving Coordinator along with accompanying invoices. A corpus or transcript available by ftp online may be included on the invoice.
The corpora and transcripts are catalogued in OCLC and exported to our system. There are is an inline constant data records record “ldc” for the cd-roms and “ldccf” for the files available remotelyoptical discs.
