Cataloging Linguistic Data Consortium Corpora
1. LINGUISTIC DATA CONSORTIUM
Linguistic Data Consortium corpora consist of CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, and online titles. The Linguistic Data Consortium notifies the AUL for Collections when new corpora are released, and she requests they be sent and signs the licenses when necessary.
Cataloging receives the discs from Acquisitions Receiving Coordinator along with accompanying invoices. A corpus or transcript available online may be included on the invoice.
The corpora and transcripts are catalogued in OCLC and exported to our system. There is an inline constant data record “ldc” for the optical discs.
