LINGUISTIC DATA CONSORTIUM
The Linguistic Data Consortium notifies Fondren (AUL for Collections) when new corpora are released, and she requests they be sent and when necessary signs the licenses. Michael Barlow is our main consumer of these corpora.
Cataloging receives the cd-roms from Acquisitions Receiving Coordinator along with accompanying invoices. A corpus or transcript available by ftp may be included on the invoice.
The corpora and transcripts are catalogued in OCLC and exported to our system. There are constant data records “ldc” for the cd-roms and “ldccf” for the files available remotely.
