PROCESSING MUSIC SCORES

Parts that accompany scores are individually marked and placed in an acid-free envelope.  The envelope is then inserted in the center of the score and sent to In-house binding for mounting in a pamphlet binder.

Piano music (solo or chamber), vocal music and vocal scores, and some orchestral scores which cannot be pamphlet bound are normally sent for commercial binding (see Binding Guidelines).

Barcodes and any pertinent flags are affixed to the title page of a paperbound score with a large paper clip before sending to In-house binding.

Piggyback barcodes are affixed to the title page of those scores going to the commercial bindery.

Scores which go directly to the Marking Table have the barcode affixed to the inside back cover.
