When an item needs to change locations, it will be sent to the Database Management Coordinator. This is often just shown as a relabel flag inside the item with a note as to where the item should reside.
The Home Location and Current Location should be changed to the new location. If a call number needs to be modified, then this should be changed as well. Be sure to make any appropriate changes to the title page as well.
Once all the changes have been made, then if the call number and location on the spine is different from what is in the Call Number / Item Tab, place a piece of paper in the book with relabel written on it and put it on the Changes/Notify cart, which should be located close to the Marking Table. It the call number and location is the same as what is written on the Call Number / Item tab, then place the item on the Return to Stacks shelf.
