Checklist for Catalogers
- Has the order been loaded or copy created?
- Is the book a related edition?
- Is the other edition in the same call number? Translation cutter updated?
- If the call numbers are not the same, was a Boxwork form submitted?
- Has Series been checked in the Series Authority File?
- If the Series is traced, is the form correct?
- Do ISBN numbers and Edition match the book?
- Has a MARC Holdings Record been created or updated for a multi-volume set?
- Does the date in the call number reflect the date in the 11X field, if present?
- Has the call number been checked in the Call Number Index of correct library?
- Have typographical and tagging errors been corrected?
- Has call number been copied onto t.p. correctly + location, copy no., vol. no.?
- Has control number been written on the t.p.?
- Has the cataloger’s logon been added to the Created By field?
- Has Date Cataloged been updated?
- Are Item Type and Location correct?
- Are the Number of Pieces, Volume, and Item Cat1, Item Cat2 correct?
- Has Current Location been changed to INPROCESS?
- Exceptions: WRC, LSC-SPECL, GOV-MICRO
- Exception: WRC, LSC-SPECL, GOV-MICRO
- Does all bibliographical information on record match our item?
- Has Item ID barcode been scanned and affixed to the book?
- Have names “[UNAUTHORIZED]” been checked in a Name Authority File?
- Have needed N/A records been printed out, initialed for the N/A Update basket?
- Has the OCLC number been recorded for update by student when necessary?
