This report uses the records that Robert brings into Sirsi. It separates out the MC and No Copy records from the rest of the books (based on the create date). Manually sorting of the books thus does not need to take place.

To run the report, click on Schedule New Reports. Under the Templates tab, there will be a report called Non Good Member YBP Approval.

Click on the encircled line, you will the initial screen of the report.

Click Title Selection tab. Follow the instructions on the screen below to set the date you are concerned with.

Leave the other parameters as they are (BOBE for Created By field on Title selection screen and APPROVAL for Item type on Item Selection screen).

Lastly, run the report.

When the report has finished, in order to see the title list in a nicer format, only select View result. Leave View Log and Format Report check boxes unchecked.

Now you can view a pipe delimited list.

Save the list as a text file and then import that text file into Excel.

Once you import the file into Excel, a text import wizard will appear. Under original data type, make sure demilimted is marked. Click next. Under delimiters, check mark Tab and Other. In the Other field, put | in the box. Click next and then finish. Click okay to put the information into the existing spreadsheet.

Now the report information is separated into columns. Delete the first column. It will have data like this in it - 2491075. Then delete the column that has the create date field information in it. The information will look like this - 20121211. Now you will need to sort the books via what their Member Copy three letter codes and via no copies. Any books that appear in all caps and have OCL twice in the 040 column are either duplicates or part of a volume set. Treat those books appropriately. Sort the books into two separate spreadsheets. One for Member Copy books and one for No Copy books. After that sorting is done, then sort the book title lists alphabetically to make it easier to find the books on the carts.
