Section VIII, Chapter B
Processing Electronic Resources
1. DIRECT ACCESS ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Call numbers. CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs and diskettes do not have their call number written on them. Instead, they are accompanied by a white flag with:
...
Installation software. When the software includes an installation disc or diskette, the disc or diskette is copied in Cataloging and Metadata Services and the original disc or diskette is stored in Cataloging and Metadata Services, while the copy is sent with the other software to its designated location.
2. REMOTE ACCESS ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
The Serials Catalog Librarian runs regular reports on the Sirsi catalog to check the URLs of all active electronic continuing resources to maintain their currency.
