Editing Pre-ISBD Copy
1. PRE-ISBD COPY
Both Library of Congress and member pre-ISBD copy are processed by senior members of the Copy Catalogers or by the Senior Copy Cataloging unitOriginal Cataloger.
2. DESCRIPTIVE CATALOGING
Senior Copy Catalogers may decide on a case-by-case basis to leave descriptive cataloging for pre-ISBD items as is or to change it to AACR2 form using prescribed punctuationcurrent cataloging practice. If any of the descriptive fields is changed to AACR2 current form, all fields should be changed.
