The following settings are required

To set your preferences in Connexion, click on Tools > Options

With "(None)" highlighted, click Create, then choose File, and click the OK button. Navigate to your existing export file and choose it. Click the Open button.

 

Recommended: Create an empty folder on your computer's hard drive called Export.

 

C:\Users\jdm9\sirsi\jwf331\oclc.dat

Navigate to your C:\Export folder, open the folder, and type in voyager in the File Name field. The file type should be Export Data Files (.dat); you can change it if needed. Click on Open to create the export file. Then click Okay to enter this setting into OCLC Connexion. You should end up with H:\Export\voyager.dat

  • This path must match what is specified in your Voyager import settings (Options > Preferences > Folders/Files > Import), with the addition of the filename you just created)
Click on the Record Characteristics button. Both Record Standard fields should be set to MARC21 and the Character Set fields should be UTF-8 Unicode
Click on Field Export Options. For Fields to Delete, enter 035, 029 under Bibliographic records. This will delete any extraneous 035 and 029 fields.

Then click Apply and Ok to save your settings.
